Weekend masti....

I enjoyed this last weekend a lot after a long time....I had been to Monterey bay aquarium...with frnds.....me was suffering from severe leg ache...still was not ready to sit back at home and relax...went along with frnds....was fun journey....n the aquarium was gr8 though i cudnt enjoy it thoroughly...i was always looking for some chairs to sit down...cudnt stand literally...:((...but still i enjoyed it.....then we planned to go to half moon bay....i was really really tired n took a quick nap in the car...n in the meantime we lost our way...now i got up to give my expert advise ;))...by the time we reached half moon bay it was 9pm...n it was closed obviously...just ensured that it was closed n proceeded to a restaurant to have our dinner.....my effort to go to an indian restaurant was a fiasco...so went to elephant bar...as usual i took vegetable stir fry which is the only vegetarian food available there....:((...

As per plan, went to gems show yesterday n got some of those...not really sure abt the quality though....

Fourth of July

Fourth of July....American independence day.....we planned to go see the fireworks in SFO....Got a call from rahul this morning to be ready in the evening to go...i read some articles about capturing fireworks...

i was ready by 6pm...got a call from rahul again saying that we r not going as some of my frnds didn't want to go...:((

It is not that i am fond of seeing fireworks or parade..i just like to go out....i cannot sit at home the whole day...was wondering what shud i do as tha fireworks program was canceled....i got ready anyways...i went shopping to Kohls nearby my place....thank God found some frnds there....got a nice pair of walking shoes...:))

I told that i hosted a lunch get together at my place on sunday....i had invited 11 ppl.....out of which 1 girl had to meet her brother and she said she wouldnt join...so i cooked for 10....i boiled the chickpeas and potatoes on saturday night itself...on sunday with the limited number of big vessels i have, i had to cook, transfer and wash in loop...:((...my friends, rahul and harsha asked if they should come and help me out...i said no i would do myself...mebbe i should have asked them to come over....i din feel tired or exhausted while cooking....yday evening i started feeling so tired.....today i couldn't getup from the bed...my whole body started aching....i never thought its so tiring to cook for 10ppl......

we used to live in a joint family when i was very young...grandma, grandpa, mom, dad, dad's 3 brothers, 1 sis-in-law(as only one brother was married at that time), 1 sis who wasnt married, 1 sis who was married and used to stay with her husband n kid close to our house as she was working n wanted parents to take care of her small daughter...my mom used to cook for everyone all alone everyday.....my dad used to start to office at 7 in the morning..she completes the cooking by then....amazing....u wont believe my mom was much younger than me when she used to do all these....my mom is the best...:)))

Being inquisitive - is it right always?

Had a very hectic day arranging a get together at my place...shopping, cleaning, cooking, etc...

Finally my mood is upset by some unwanted personal questions asked by some unwanted people...why should i be upset by such people who have no role in my life is my first question...but i still get really irritated with such people...i cudnt help myself in this regard so far...i am trying really hard though....i wish i succeed in this some day.....

i literally get mad at people who intrude in other's personal lives when they dont want to reveal anything about their lives....even if one is an open book....i feel it is unnecessary to poke into other's personal lives....i hate such nosy people since childhood....i myself dont ask any personal questions even to my closest of friends though it is not wrong to do so...but strangers..they have no right to poke into others personal lives....if i talk with a stranger or someone who is not my friend, i think 100 times before asking a question to them....do i really need the answer from that person.....i dont understand why everyone dont realise this..even i have equal opportunity to embarrass or irritate anyone....if i asked the same question back, what would they answer.....i never had the courage to be so rude though.....i dont want to bo so...but i wish people learn not to interfere too much in others lives....

Tamil girl

Today i tried to make dosa batter. You wont believe me...I am making this for the second time in life..inspite of being a tamilian girl...I made it like the batter which is used for drawing designs at home during functions...It is called ezhai kolam in tamil..To fix the batter i thought i will make some more and mix..but to make that i will put more water....so i just kept it aside for the yeast to make some wonder.....lets c tomorrow....

weekend was gud..

Couple of my frnds, Raj n Jayant came over to SFO along with one of their friends Zambie..

Jayant called me early in the morning at about 7:46am on saturday to get ready..this is really early to me for a saturday...somehow got ready by 11...visited the temple...yes..my regular saturday visit....

There is a new Indian restaurant opened in Pleasant hill downtown called Monsoon masala....decent food n service...

Headed to Mystery spot....we lost our way n reached santa cruz almost....came bac to mystery spot...now we lost our friends in the other car.....:(

After mystery spot...went to Santa cruz n played frisbee...it was fun....after a along time....

Sunday had a gud lunch at a frnds place....it was fun too....:))
